At a cabin altitude of approximately 7600 feet, the cabin altitude gauge jams, setting off the CABIN ALT alarm. Nothing will shift this 7600 feet reading and nothing will cancel the alarm. Changing the ALT SELECT and RATE OF CHANGE has no effect. Dropping to a low altitude and opening the PRESS RELIEF VALVE also has no effect. Even landing and shutting down does not move the gauge or cancel the alarm.
